Safeguarding

We use best practice across our services. We welcome input from local authorities and the CQC. We report all notifiable incidences to the relevant authorities. We review trend levels and look for underlying causes.

Internally, the management team is committed to learn from any mistakes throughout the organisation and develop processes to avoid future reoccurences. We operate in the best interests of our service users, actively using independent advocacy services if we believe a conflict of interest may arise within their care pathway.  To ensure that no conflict of interest arises and that there is complete transparancy we will not undertake to be the financial appointee for our service users as we feel this role is best discharged by local authorities or competent third parties. We recommend the services of Essex Guardians as a default position.
