Welcome to 6 Harold Road

Harold Road consists of three separate facilities designed for people with learning disabilities at different stages on their care pathway. From residential care through to supported living services, the homes provide stepping stones towards more independent lifestyles.

Each of our locations provides stimulating and safe surroundings for our service users. We provide a supportive atmosphere that stimulates learning and gives each individual plenty of independent living skills. We’re fully committed to person-centred planning approaches and work with service users and their relatives to develop realistic plans with achievable goals. We also provide tailored health action plans with the help of a range of social and healthcare professionals.

6 Harold Road is a registered home for learning disabilities and we cater for complex needs at this home including, autism, epilepsy, challenging behaviours etc.

Harold Road is located in the vibrant, multi-cultural town of Leytonstone. We’re only a short walk away from a wide range of local shops, pubs, swimming pool and leisure centre. We also have strong relationships with local colleges. There are excellent transport links to central London and surrounding areas.

We have input from external agencies such as advocacy groups. Referrals can be made via and individual’s GP for speech and language, psychology and other professional support.

Friends and family are always welcome here at Harold Lodge. We hold regular parties where we can all meet up and have a friendly chat. Families are invited to attend review meetings every six months. We constantly seek formal and informal feedback from individuals and their families so that we can see ways for us to improve the levels of care and support we provide.

Staff: The Registered Home Manager is supported by a Deputy Manager over the three Harold Road homes, a senior support worker and a team of full and part time staff. All staff are trained to meet the needs of residents, having worked or are working towards NVQ 2 (NVQ 3 for senior staff).

  • Bedrooms: 4 spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms. We encourage people to personalise their bedrooms so that they become home from home.
  • Kitchen: We have an open plan kitchen and dining area where we regularly enjoy baking and cooking days, with a helping hand from staff.
  • Living and dining area: We have a large dining and living area in which we hold regular parties and get-togethers with service users’ families. The comfy lounge area features a TV, DVD player and stereo.
  • Garden: We have a large patio garden area at the back of the home where we hold our fantastic summer barbecues. There’s plenty of seating and also a grassy area where we can play supervised outdoor games. In the summer, we encourage everyone to get stuck into some rewarding gardening.
